Curriculum Intent
At St Lawrence C of E Primary School pupils learn French. We believe that language learning enriches our curriculum and creates enthusiastic, inquisitive learners with positive attitudes towards not only different languages, but different cultures too. Learning is made fun through songs, games and activities using the Language Angels Curriculum. We explore familiar language, grammar and phonics to really ensure our children become well rounded language detectives. Pupils are encouraged to express their ideas and thoughts in another language and to understand and respond to its speakers, both in speech and in writing.
