I liked it when we did acrylic painting and we used acorns, feathers, sticks and cotton buds to paint with. Year 2
It’s calm and wonderful drawing and painting. Year 3
I like Art as we can be creative in what we do. Year 4
We are making a collage linked to the rainforest - we have learnt how to use different colours and shapes. Year 5
We are doing abstract Art looking at Romero Britto and Jackson Pollock. We also created our own bowls out of triangles using outlines and watercolours. Year 6
Curriculum Intent
At St Lawrence C of E Primary School, we aim to provide an Art and Design curriculum which delivers an exciting, rich and forward thinking visual arts education. We use ideas from Access Arts to plan stimulating blocks of learning. We engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art and design. We encourage critical thinking and evaluation by looking at the works of a range of artists which reflect our past and provide hope for our future.
